Alice.

Saw Alice in Wonderland in 3-D 2 sundays back with Mr.Blue and Mr.Greene. The movie was ok, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Witch was very entertaining hahaha. Off with his head! Anne Hathaway as the White Witch was over-the-top comical, what's with the exagerrated gestures man. One thing though, the 3-D for this movie is not so clear, found out that actually the movie wasn't shot with a 3-D camera, instead they converted it into 3-D after the shoot. That explains the blurriness at certain parts even with the 3-D glasses. Even i noticed it and it's my first 3-D movie.

The first leg of the Champions League Quarter-Finals between Manchester United and Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena finished with the scoreline of 2-1, with Bayern Munich winning the match. Even though it's a loss, Manchester United have the very important away-goal so that's a good advantage to have on the next leg at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney got injured though, i hope he's not going to be out for too long, he's the one who got the away goal for Man Utd and this season he's the main man for getting goals. 34 now for this season!

That's all for now, goodbye~~~

March Madness.

Yesterday i was inspired to walk home from City Hall. Total Distance covered according to streetdirectory.com is 6.70 km. Took me about 1 1/4 hours.

I learnt some lessons though:
1.To not do it out of the blue ever again, i must've looked like some lunatic with my sweat-drenched star wars baggy shirt, jeans and schoolbag.
2.To always keep my toenails short, when i got back home there was blood on my socks. The constant abrasion from my toenails caused my feet to bleed. Hmmm so that's what caused the ant-bites feel on my feet.
3.Always have a water bottle handy.
4.Wear comfortable shoes.

Felt good when i reached home though, going to train till i'm able to jog there continuously after exams are over.

That's all for now. Goodbye~~~

The Deja Vu of Munich.

I'm a big fan of football (soccer, that is). Just love it. Of all the teams in the world i'm a die-hard fan of AC Milan; in England i support Manchester United; used to support Bayern Munich in Germany because i worshipped Oliver Kahn after the 2002 World Cup. But i'm missing the point of this post.

I'm typing this post right after watching a football match between Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich. Which Bayern lost 2-1. But before typing anything further, a little history. In the Champions League final of 1999 a legendary match occured, Manchester United met Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou (home stadium of FC Barcelona, which has a maximum seating capacity of 98000). On the 6th minute Mario Basler scored for Bayern, looked comfortable throughout the match, limited Man Utd to few chances. But what made this match legendary is that in the final few minutes, of extra time(!), Manchester scored 2 and won the match 2-1 (completing the treble of trophies, etc etc). Back to today Bayern have just lost a match 2-1, again at the last few minutes of normal time though (87th min. and 89th min.) Deja Vu? It definitely was for me.

Coincidentally, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are set to meet again in the Champions League but for a quarter-finals tie this time, just a few days before the Frankfurt game. Did that game show that the ghost of Manchester United are still haunting Bayern Munich perhaps? Is it really a coincidence that a few days after the quarter-finals draw was made, Bayern Munich lost their first game in 19 games in a fashion so unbelievably similar to THAT game nearly 11 years ago? Is this an omen that there'll be another Bayern Munich Deja Vu come April? I really hope so.

Manchester United for the win! Goodbye~~~

The curious case of life.

Saw an interesting movie just now, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Very deep movie, i'm such a sucker for deep movies. Call me boring, ahahaha. But still, isn't it interesting to realize that everything comes full circle. That even if you get younger instead of older everyday, to live your life the wrong way around, at the end of the day you'll encounter the same old problems that any human being would encounter. Another thing that we should realize is that to grow old is actually to grow young again. So to people that fear getting older, take heart! Getting old is the road to getting young. So i guess the human obsession is not getting old but looking old.

That's all for now. Goodbye~~~

Jelly of Life.

The pursuit of immortality has perplexed many a great minds, corrupted even more, destroyed still even more. And yet thousands of years of civilized human existence later, no answer has been found to the quest of eternal life. How is it then that an animal that does not have a central nervous, digestive or circulatory systems among other things achieve it. Oh did i mention that it has no brain either? To know more, read the article.

That's all for now. Goodbye~~~

Convinience over safety?

Was driving along nicoll highway, then i noticed this older and bigger gentleman trying to cross to the busstop opposite suntec city. There's an overhead bridge to get yourself over to the bus stop! The existence of this bridge is because pedestrians shouldn't cross the road, it is perpetually busy! But still this 'brave' gentleman crossed through the road anyway. The even weirder thing is that he needed to cross two roads to get to the busstop, so not only is he crossing from the more dangerous way but also the longer way. Come on people, stairs won't kill you. Well actually anything can kill you, but still isn't it the better option than jaywalking through a highway? So it may be longer, but use it anyway because everything has it's purpose of existence so we should make use of it especially if it may just safe our lives, right?

That's all for now, goodbye~~~

Long time no write.

Been awhile since i last posted. Many things happened in between. First, Mr.Godzilla visited for a few days, as usual we went around to shop for his two obsessions, Armani Exchange and Jewellery. He didn't really buy anything this time round which is a bit of a miracle. Then at night we went to eat some reallllllllllllly good black pepper crab along with Mr.Jewellery and Miss.Singtel. That was some good stuff.

After that my cousin visited for a few days to attend a course on his field, he's an ophthalmologist, that's mambo jambo lingo for eye specialist. One thing that's similar between Mr.Ophthopuss and me is that we're both really into movies, books, games, collecting toys, geeky stuff like that. So while he was here, i brought him to walk around in orchard for a bit and then, onto toy paradise at Plaza Singapura. He managed to suppress the urge to buy something though! Some strong willpower there! He did though buy the whole Nightmare on Elm's Street series. Other than that went to Sentosa to check out the casino and Universal Studios, too bad it's still closed by then, we would've had so much fun.

Bought a 1TB External HD at the IT Fair, as well as..... finally! My very own SLR Camera! Yay! Canon 450D! Not the latest but should be good enough for a newbie like me, gonna test around before upgrading later on. Was tempted to buy PS3 but.... let's leave it till next time for now. One gripe that i really have to say about the IT Fair though, what's up with the closing of every single parking spots of Suntec City man, that's so retarded. Why the fish would you close it all when it's not full in the first place! If full then fine i understand, but when i saw the number 160-something space still available! Let's not go there... In the end i parked at Esplanade, sheesh. Oh well a bit of an exercise won't kill me, i'm still mad about the idiocy of it all though. Stupid of me too for not turning up earlier but hey i thought since it's still just thursday the crowd won't be so crazy. Obviously i was wrong. I got what i needed, in and out in less than an hour, so overall i'm very happy.

That's all for now. Goodbye~~~

An American Rant. A Moronic Chinese.

Wasn't supposed to post anything for this week, but i couldn't resist after seeing this comment post from an article which i shall dub 'Moronic chinese dude'. The comment itself does not really link explicitly, so to know more about the 'Moronic chinese dude' article, click the link below.

FYI TSA = Transport Security Administration. Enjoy:

By 'Elizabeth B'
"The real terrorists are the TSA. Take my word for it, after being sexually assaulted at Charlotte/Douglas in April,2009 en route home through Phoenix. The excessive and brutal treatment of airline passengers physically violates innocent people with examinations reserved for those arrested for violent crimes. Physical invasion is, not only unconstutional (if there exists one in the first place) and ungodly humiliating. It is serving as a deterrent to people bent on air travel through physical assault, sexual violation, and mental stress and humiliation. No matter how many incentives the airlines offer, it cannot restrict the federal government on it's imposition of this type of cruelty upon the American traveller. This type of treatment, the government hopes, will make Americans think twice before even wanting to travel. The term 'staycation' was coined to interest Americans in staying close to home as an 'alternative' to freedom of movement and travel. The government has invested alot in monitoring and controlling how, when and where Americans travel. This is not what our forefathers fought for, nor the illusion of outside 'terrorism' as a psychological means to control the general public. Imagery has long been used to control societies in order to create boundaries based upon fear. Fear-based propaganda was created on September 11, 2001 in order to rob the American people of their most basic rights. TSA is the control arm of the government in order to police this action. Because Osama bin Laden, in my opinion, does not exist, at least in the practical sense. He is a shadowy creation held up as an 'evil' icon in order to keep the 'threat' fresh and plausible. With Osama remaining in the background, there persist the myth of impending 'terrorism' against the country through this imagery and a concocted fabrication of his 'existence'. It fuels the 'threat' and makes these restrictions neccessary in order to perpetrate these controls. The American public continues to be held hostage to this control.

Never before have our rights been severly challenged. World War II was a bona fide example of how an established world conflict could have jeopardized our rights. The American public continued to rightfully enjoy the freedoms entrusted by the constitution, despite a war on two fronts. Stateside civilians travelled widely and freely, despite the German and Japanese threats. Restrictions were confined to the European and Asian theatres, yet Americans on American soil still moved about with greater mobility than of today, and the government did nothing to prevent this. With the exception of the Japanese internment camps established on the west coast, the majority of Americans could go anywhere they wished without physical assault or interference by the US government. In fact, at the time the American people lived by a tight code of mutual respect. Today, the US government hardly respects the American public; Washington has a deep contempt of the population and it shows with great regularity. From physical invasion to sexual assault, the ability of free travel by American citizens has become a thing of the past. It is through the strongarm TSA that this contempt and disrespect of the American people shows through. As if this is not enough, comes the legalized pornography called 'Full Body Scans'. In Great Britain, this violates their child protection laws.

British newspapers have released photo imagery of these pictures for the public to see. The images show quite clearly human genatalia with such detail that it violates their child pornography laws. The United States cannot resist flexing their muscles only within the boundaries of the 50; they must inflict this deliberate invasion upon other nations as well. With all such 'safety' measures in place, i wonder how many people will continue to buy into this 'threat'? How many will continue to subject themselves to this type of rape?"

Note: on "cannot resist flexing their muscles only within the boundaries of the 50", the writer meant the 50 states of USA.

I'm awed with this particular netizen, the post was so well-written and eloquent. I wonder who he/she really is.
